Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring a Bakery Team Member to support proofs and baking unfinished items, following product handling and production charts. You will unpack from the freezer, display items, and ensure proper amounts are shown according to the bakery plan.

Responsibilities include answering member questions, packaging a variety of bakery goods, rotating stock, receiving shipments, and keeping equipment clean while upholding club safety and service standards. Attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers questions and recommends bakery items.
• Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods using ovens and equipment.
• Gathers products to be prepared for the next business day.
• Packages freshly baked goods (cookies, pastries, breads, cakes) as needed.
• Decorates special order or case products.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following food safety policies.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments.
• Generates labels and price tickets and ensures accurate pricing.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains attendance.
