Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to help run a busy bakery. You will greet customers, prepare and replenish baked goods, and contribute to a warm, welcoming in-store experience.

You will monitor freshness, assist shoppers, handle orders at the bakery counter, follow sanitation procedures, and work with teammates to ensure accuracy and excellent service. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma not required; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome in the bakery.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, and taking bakery orders.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed from cooler or freezer.
