Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring a Bakery Associate to proof, bake and prepare a variety of bakery items. You will follow production charts, pack and display goods, and ensure quality and freshness while maintaining safety standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and efficiency in a fast-paced grocery setting. Applicants should be at least 18 years old and have prior bakery or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Proofs and bakes unfinished bakery goods following product handling information using ovens and equipment.
• Gathers products to be prepared for the next business day.
• Packages freshly baked goods (cookies, pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes).
• Decorates special order or case products.
• Rotates and stores bakery products per food safety and quality policies.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments and ensures products meet quality standards.
• Generates labels and price tickets and performs price checks when necessary.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, fixtures, and surfaces in the bakery.
