Job summary

El Super #60 Albuquerque is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver friendly customer service and assist with daily bakery operations. Under the Bakery Manager, you will help with orders, display maintenance, and department cleanliness.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 60 pounds, read labels, and communicate clearly with customers. Food handling certification is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and support in the bakery under the Bakery Manager.
• Clean shelving and display cases; rotate self-serve displays in front of store and near bakery.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate; participate in department cleaning.
