Job summary

El Super #60 in Albuquerque is seeking a Bakery Clerk under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager to provide friendly customer service and support daily bakery operations.

The Bakery Clerk assists customers with bakery purchases, maintains clean shelves and display cases, and works with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate. This fast-paced role requires lifting, standing, and coordinated teamwork in a grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and labels.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information to customers and staff.
• Follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in the bakery.
• Clean shelves and display cases.
• Stock and rotate self-serve displays.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate.
• Assist in department cleaning and floor washing.
