Kroger is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean bakery area. You will prepare items per customer requests, offer samples, and promote bakery products while ensuring quality and proper portion sizes.

You will work with bakery equipment, follow recipes and temperature logs, and support the department with inventory and safety procedures. A strong team player with math skills is ideal.

Formación

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Desire to gain an understanding of food production and basic cooking techniques.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes.
• Recommend bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, ovens, scales) per guidelines.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Maintain knowledge of products and answer questions.
