Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
• Provide high-level customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain cleanliness of the bakery area
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery environment, including cleaning shelves and equipment, and keeping floors free of spills
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure accurate pricing; monitor product rotation and discard outdated items
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills
• Good communication skills; ability to follow directions and work in a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
• Operate bakery equipment safely and accurately
• Stand for up to 8 hours; ability to lift and transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit
