Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Follow food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
• Check product quality and freshness, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Properly use kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Understand store layout to locate products for customers.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming ads and promotions.
• Maintain product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and stocking conditions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
• Promote trust and respect among staff.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities.
