Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of bakery specials.
- Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrink.
- Recommend bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens according to guidelines.
- Follow food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
- Check product quality and freshness, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
- Properly use kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
- Understand store layout to locate products for customers.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming ads and promotions.
- Maintain product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and stocking conditions.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
- Promote trust and respect among staff.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities.
- Perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
