Assist customers and keep bakery products stocked. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities
  1. Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  2. Maintain awareness of sales, anticipate production needs
  3. Stock product, maintain full display cases
  4. Evaluate and verify bakery product quality is to company standard
  5. Perform department housekeeping
  6. Answer telephones
  7. Take cake orders
  8. Promote and follow company initiatives; comply with corporate policies
  9. Comply with all safety guidelines and standards
  10. Perform cashier functions
  11. Sample product
  12. Use public announcement to draw customers to department
  13. Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications
Minimum
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to work within set time frames
  • Familiarity with bakery terms and processes
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift, and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired
  • Any related retail experience
  • Any customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
