Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and making product suggestions
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries
• Offer samples and prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, per customer requests
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items
• Maintain product quality and inventory, and ensure proper labeling and stocking
• Report discrepancies and safety issues to management
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance on bakery equipment
• Assist with store layout and seasonal promotions
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Retail or bakery/cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Basic math skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
