BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum Requirements:

• Retail experience
• Bakery/cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math
• Effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and offering samples
• Maintain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers
• Prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, per customer requests using proper equipment
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise
• Report discrepancies and maintain product quality and freshness
• Understand store layout and stay current with promotions
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Follow all merchandising, customer service, safety, and loss prevention policies
• Identify unsafe conditions and report safety risks or incidents
