Job summary

Panera is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead an amazing bakery-cafe team in Brentwood, MO. You will partner with the General Manager to drive operations, guest satisfaction, and business growth while owning hiring, training, and team development at your location.

You will inspire and celebrate your team, ensure adherence to policies, and manage costs and inventory while upholding Panera's standards and values in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
• Proven ability to drive results with business acumen.
• Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, and people development.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Manage team performance to meet quality and service standards.
• Partner with the GM to develop managers on processes and guiding values.
• Ensure guest delight through food quality, service, and teamwork.
• Foster long-term guest relationships and maintain cost controls.
