Job summary

Panera Bread in Washington, MO is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a bakery-cafe team and deliver outstanding guest experiences daily. You’ll partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, hiring, training, and development, while driving sales and maintaining quality standards.

You’ll inspire your team, manage scheduling, ensure safety and compliance, and foster a culture of warmth and belonging as you grow the business at your location.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, on-boarding, and training of new team members whilst motivating and celebrating the entire team.
• Manage team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals, operational and quality standards, and guest service expectations.
• Develop managers on processes and Panera’s Guiding Values & Behaviors.
