Panera in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a bakery-cafe team and drive daily operations. You will partner with the General Manager to hire, train, and develop staff while ensuring exceptional guest service and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the General Manager in overseeing bakery-cafe operations.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, and people development.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training of new team members.
• Manage team performance to meet goals, quality standards, and guest service expectations.
• Partner with GM to develop managers on processes and Panera's Guiding Values & Behaviors.
• Ensure guests are delighted with food, service, and team engagement.
• Build relationships to create long-term guest loyalty.
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies and local regulations.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace and manage costs and inventory.
• Support a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
