Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Minnesota to lead a beloved neighborhood bakery-cafe. You will inspire and celebrate your team, partner with the GM to oversee operations, and delight guests every day while taking ownership of hiring, training, and development at your location.

You will drive results with strong business acumen, plan staffing and scheduling, and ensure performance aligns with food, service, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment.
• This role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Any job offer for this position is conditional upon the results of a background check.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects 50 pounds; stand and walk for up to 6 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead an amazing team and a bakery-cafe to sweet success, inspiring and celebrating your team.
• Partner with the General Manager in overseeing operations, delight guests daily, and grow the business at your location.
• Hire, on-boarding, and training of new team members while motivating, energizing, and celebrating the entire team.
• Manage team performance to meet the bakery-cafe’s goals, standards, and guest service expectations.
• Develop managers on people’s processes and Panera’s Guiding Values & Behaviors.
• Work as a team to ensure every guest is delighted by food, service, and our team.
