Job summary

Panera Bread in Eau Claire is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead an amazing team at a beloved neighborhood bakery-cafe. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, delight guests daily, and grow the business while hiring, training, and developing staff.

You will drive key decisions, manage staffing, coaching, and performance to meet goals, uphold standards, and foster Panera’s values across the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
• Background check required.
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods (up to 50 pounds and 6 hours respectively).

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing staffing needs, shift scheduling, and team development.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members while motivating and celebrating the team.
• Help ensure bakery-cafe goals, quality standards, and guest service expectations are met.
• Partner with the General Manager to develop managers and drive Panera’s Guiding Values.
• Ensure operations follow company policies and maintain cost and inventory controls.
• Build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
