Job summary

Panera Bread Company in Easley, SC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead an energetic bakery-cafe team and drive guest satisfaction. You’ll partner with the General Manager on staffing, training, and daily operations while promoting a culture of warmth and growth.

You'll inspire and develop team members, manage performance, and ensure consistent, high-quality service and product standards in a fast-paced environment. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+.
• 1+ year restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or ability to achieve.
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven ability to lead shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead with the General Manager by making key decisions and solving problems.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning.
• Hire, onboard, train, and motivate the team to perform at a high level.
• Manage team performance to meet goals, standards, and guest service expectations.
• Develop managers and embed Panera Guiding Values & Behaviors.
• Collaborate to ensure guest satisfaction with food, service, and team.
• Build relationships to create long-term, loyal guests.
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure policies comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace per health and safety standards.
• Assist GM with costs and inventory management.
• Foster a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
• Demonstrate physical stamina: lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for several hours.
• Ability to communicate clearly in a loud service environment.
