Job summary

Manito Super 1 Foods, Inc. is seeking a bakery associate for full-time early-morning shifts. The role will prepare and display baked goods, operate mixers, ovens, scales, slicers, fryers, and wrap and price items in the bakery.

You will ice pastries, decorate cakes, fill displays, and assist customers with purchases and other tasks from management. The position requires maintaining a clean work area, and following all sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene rules.

Responsibilities

• Bakers are responsible for preparing baked goods and displaying said items.
• They will operate mixers, ovens, scales, slicers, fryers, and wrap and price items within the bakery department.
• They will ice pastries, decorate cakes, fill displays, and assist customers with purchases and other tasks assigned by management.

They will ice pastries, decorate cakes; fill displays while also assisting customers with purchases and any other tasks assigned by management. Bakers are responsible for maintaining a clean work area and following all safety rules set in place by the store. They must adhere to strict standards of sanitation, food safety and personal hygiene.

• The employee must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly
• Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination to operate equipment
• The employee must have full range of upper body motion to lift stock.
• Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
• Must possess functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment
• The position requires the employee to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis
