Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Baker for the West Long Branch location to support the Bakery Manager with daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and filling designated pastry and bread items. The role requires maintaining a clean, visually appealing department and working under safety and QA standards.

The position emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, accurate signage, proper food handling, and teamwork to ensure freshness and quality in a fast-paced store

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Stand/walk for entire shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience in Bakery under supervision of Bakery Manager.
• Bake, mix dough, ice, package and fill pastry and bread items.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department.
• Follow safety, QA and sanitation standards.
• Follow recipes and operate bakery equipment as required.
