Tops in New York is seeking a bakery clerk to slice, price, and package bakery items, and to maintain shelves and displays while providing attentive customer service. You will also take cake orders when needed and handle related paperwork. Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations and ensure proper stock and display conditions.

Basic reading, writing and math skills are required, along with basic computer skills and strong communication. Minimum age is 16, with certain functions requiring 18+.

Responsibilities

• Follow all regulations and policies regarding Bakery operations, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain proper shelf/display conditions through cleaning and organizing products.
• Process, prepare, and package products according to policy.
• Take customer orders for cakes or specialty items as needed.
• Complete paperwork related to the Bakery Department.
• Maintain a clean as you go policy and ensure supplies are adequate.
• Minimize shrink through proper handling of products.
• Minors may work in sales, packaging and limited production.
