Tops in New York is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to help maintain the bakery display, slice and package products, and assist customers with orders and selections.

You will follow safety and sanitation rules, keep shelves neat, handle paperwork, and support the bakery team with daily tasks while delivering attentive service.

This entry-level role requires basic math, reading/writing, and good communication; many tasks involve operating mixers, ovens, slicers, and other equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age and 18 to perform certain functions.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow regulations and safety/sanitation policies for bakery operations.
• Maintain shelf/display conditions through cleaning and rotation.
• Process, prepare, and package products per policy.
• Take customer orders for cakes or specialty items as needed.
• Complete paperwork related to Bakery Department.
• Maintain a Clean as you go policy.
• Maintain adequate supplies and minimize shrink through proper handling.
• Minors may work in a sales capacity, packaging and limited production.
