Job summary

ShopRite in Bottino NJ is seeking a Baker to support daily Bakery operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and production of designated pastry items. You will keep the area clean and visually appealing while following company policies.

The role requires ability to read and communicate in English, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Training will cover safety, QA, and proper food handling. Previous bakery experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures and handle food products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat Bakery area and proper sanitation.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations and production.
• Prepare and package pastries and breads according to recipes.
• Rotate products and ensure correct signage and pricing.
• Provide courteous customer service and answer questions.
• Follow safety, QA, and company policies at all times.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and housekeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
