Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring for a Bakery Associate at our Madison location. The role involves preparing, packaging, and merchandising bakery products, stocking and rotating stock, and coordinating with the Bakery Manager and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and safety standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and retail experience; physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery products for the production planner.
• Package and label bakery products per program plan.
• Merchandise bakery products per flight plan.
• Stock backroom with bakery products and rotate/dating cases.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve store growth.
• Communicate tasks and procedures to associates.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Support guest experience guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks in other departments as needed.
