Festival Foods in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Bakery Assistant Manager to lead our bakery team. This full-time role reports to the Bakery Manager and focuses on delivering high-quality pastries, strong guest service, and reliable operations.

You will train and develop staff, manage inventory, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with store leadership to exceed guest expectations. Wisconsin Certified Food Manager is preferred; company covers certification costs.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent.
• Ability to motivate and lead a bakery team.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and retail bakery operations.
• WI Certified Food Manager License or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Department Manager in overseeing bakery operations and leading the team.
• Train new bakery associates and conduct performance reviews.
• Maintain department standards, inventory, pricing and cleanliness.
• Deliver outstanding guest service and handle special orders.
• Support the team and foster a productive work environment.
• Maintain food safety logs and adhere to safety policies.
• Coordinate with store leadership and bakery staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle timekeeping, scheduling, and attendance in compliance with policy.
• Perform other duties as needed and honor attendance commitments.
