Job summary

Festival Foods in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Bakery Assistant Manager to help run the Bakery Department and lead a team in delivering high-quality baked goods for guests.

You will support daily operations, train pastry staff, uphold safety standards, and ensure exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment. A WI Certified Food Manager license and a high school diploma are required for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team of bakers and pastry specialists, with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of technology and computer use in food service and retail bakery operations.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all team members.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company policies; willingness to obtain training for equipment and procedures.
• WI Certified Food Manager License (Company will cover certification cost if needed).

Responsibilities

• Lead bakery operations and supervise the team; step in during the manager’s absence.
• Train new bakery staff and conduct performance reviews with feedback.
• Maintain department standards, inventory, pricing accuracy, cleanliness, quality, and safety.
• Deliver outstanding guest service by assisting guests and addressing concerns.
• Foster a positive team environment and support daily tasks.
• Keep food safety logs and ensure compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with Store Director and other managers to ensure smooth bakery operations.
• Handle timekeeping and scheduling coordination with HR.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by the schedule.
