Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Oklahoma seeks a bakery associate to follow recipes and production guidelines, preparing baked goods while upholding food safety and sanitation standards, and delivering friendly customer service.

You will operate bakery equipment, assemble orders, maintain display freshness, and assist customers in selecting products. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented approach in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Basic math is needed to follow recipes.
• Must safely operate baking equipment.
• Ability to communicate with customers and partners.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Identify hazards and place warning signs when needed.
• Report hazards to supervisor when unresolved.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes to prepare cakes, donuts, cookies, and other products according to customer orders or as needed for display.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, shaping, and scoring them.
• Operates commercial baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough proofers, etc.
• Responsible for completion of production list and filling out special order requests, as well as packaging and labeling products.
• Maintains attractive product presentation in designated area by maintaining and filling bakery trays, display cases, and ingredient bins, as well as rotating product to ensure quality and freshness while adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintains friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, responding to complaints, and assisting in locating and selecting products.
• Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
• Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.
