Job summary

BNSF Railway is seeking a Spvr Terminal Operations role in Bakersfield to lead TY&E train and switching operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced terminal environment.

The position requires a BNSF First Line Supervisor certification, strong knowledge of operating rules, and proven leadership; you will supervise employees, implement policy, and monitor costs to support reliable transportation services.

Qualifications

• Must be currently certified as a BNSF First Line Supervisor.
• Working knowledge of operating rules and schedule agreements applicable to the TY&E crafts.
• Leadership and organizational skills with strong knowledge of day-to-day railroad operations and practices.
• Strong TSS Xpress system knowledge.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and work ethic.
• Shift, holiday, and weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing policy and the execution of the operating plan.
• Supervise TY&E employees and plan daily train and switching operations in line with safety and efficiency.
• Conduct operations tests and safety meetings; investigate accidents and injuries.
• Monitor and control costs to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with BNSF's equal employment policies, safety and operating rules, schedule agreements, and government regulations.
