Job summary

BNSF Railway is seeking a Transportation Management Trainee for a full-time role across multiple locations, including Barstow, CA. The program emphasizes safety, operations excellence, and leadership development in a 6-month training track with hands-on field experience.

Participants rotate through intense training at Fort Worth and Overland Park, gaining technical, safety, and personnel management skills. Travel and relocation are required as trainees may be moved per business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum GPA 2.75; strong academic track record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and ensure compliance with FRA and company rules.
• Facilitate crew discussions on safety and conduct operational audits on trains.
• Assist crews with personnel paperwork, vacation requests, and timely operations.
• Plan shipments, coordinate with departments, and provide efficient service in terminals.
• Implement policies and supervise daily train and switching operations.
