Job summary

The Grateful Bread is seeking a full-time baker in Seattle, WA. The role runs Monday through Friday, 10 AM–6 PM, with weekends and holidays required. Pay is $21–$23 per hour depending on experience, with the option to train a passionate home baker.

The candidate should be self-driven, ambitious, and engaged, with baking experience preferred. Responsibilities include dough lamination, baking various breads and pastries, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job description

The Grateful Bread at 7001 35th Ave Ne Seattle WA, 98115 is looking for one full time baker to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged. This position is full time, meaning 8 hour shifts 5 days a week with holidays and weekends required. The shifts you’ll be working are 10 AM – 6 PM Friday through Tuesday. Pay rate is hourly at $21-$23 depending on experience. Baking experience is preferred, however we are willing to train a passionate home baker.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Dough lamination.
• Mixing and baking off multiple types of bread.
• Mixing and baking off multiple types of pastries including muffins, scones, croissants, cookies, etc.
• Moving large mixing bowls and heavy buckets throughout your day.
• Moving 50 pound bags of flours and sugars throughout your day.
