The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry and dessert preparation, showcasing creativity and attention to detail. This role involves producing high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts that meet our standards of excellence while ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. The Pastry Cook will play a vital role in enhancing our menu offerings and delighting our customers with delicious creations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist in the production of baked goods, including bread and other specialty items as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure consistent production.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items that align with customer preferences.
• Package finished products for display or sale, ensuring quality presentation for customers.
• Uphold high standards of customer service by responding positively to feedback and requests.

Qualifications

• Previous pastry experience or training preferred, but not required.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• This position requires a considerable amount of walking; and the ability to lift, push and carry moderate to heavy amounts of weight on a consistent basis.
• Capable of performing repetitious duties.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
