Job summary

The Biltmore Hotel is seeking a Baker II to scale, produce, proof and bake artisan breads, pastries and cookies for outlets and banquets. You will maintain quality, cleanliness and operate with strict adherence to BSOPs, collaborating closely with the Chef.

Responsibilities include leading the bakery team when the head baker is away, reading BEOs, maintaining equipment and enforcing health standards. Prior baking experience in upscale hotel settings is required.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read, write and understand English.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years baking/pastry experience in upper upscale hotels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bakery team when head baker is away.
• Read and organize the BEO when head baker is not on site.
• Maintain and operate equipment safely and in good condition.
• Adhere to sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
• Meet with the pastry chef/head baker to review assignments and forecast needs.
