Reserva Coffee Roasters in McAllen, TX is hiring a dedicated cafe team member to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will work with a team to produce high-quality beverages and baked goods, maintain cleanliness, and help guests with knowledge about our coffees.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old to qualify for role.
• U.S. person status or authorized to work in the U.S. required.
• Weekend availability on Saturday and Sunday is required.
• Valid food handler certificate required.
• Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• Punctual reporting to work on every scheduled shift.
• Follow instructions and adapt to change.
• Maintain professionalism with colleagues and guests.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Produce entire line of baked goods and other production items.
• Minimize waste across produced items.
• Rotate products and raw materials using FIFO.
• Operate kitchen equipment properly and safely.
• Keep production area clean and organized.
• Sanitize equipment, work areas, containers and utensils as needed.
• Assist guests and co-workers as needed.
• Prepare special orders and manage inventory in kitchen and storage.
• Delegate baking and prep tasks as required.
• Support coffee bar as needed and maintain high quality beverages.
• Promote safe work habits and document incidents.
• Maintain consistent product quality and clean environments.
• Communicate store updates during shift changes.
• Share coffee knowledge with customers and teammates.
• Dial-in espresso and coffee with precision to recipe.
• Process orders and payments accurately for positive guest experience.
• Proactively communicate to ensure swift guest service.
• Understand guest needs and respond to questions about offerings.
• Operate world-class equipment to prepare coffee, tea, and food.
• Keep workspaces clean and prepared for service.
• Take initiative to help others and learn continuously.
