Join to apply for the Baker (1st) role at Colony Brands, Inc.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to batch mixing, baking, extruding, filling, depositing and cutting operations within the Bakery. Food Quality and Food Safety are an important aspect to ensuring our customer expectations are met. This position involves the set up and operation of numerous pieces of equipment including mixers, depositors, ovens, extruders, robotic cutters and more.

You’ll Also Be Responsible For

  • Preforming set-up procedures for upcoming production runs
  • Reading recipes to ensure the proper production of various products for pastries, buttercreams, cookies, cheesecakes, etc.
  • Executing baking, filling, cutting, decorating procedures on a variety of products
  • Completing reports throughout the day regarding production
  • Compliance with all food safety protocols; supporting FSSC 22000 Certification
  • Compliance to our safety program and safe operation of equipment
  • Compliance to Bakery Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

  • A high school education or equivalent or two years of relevant experience (we will train)
  • The ability to follow and execute recipes (including possessing the necessary math skills to scale up or down)
  • Strong experience/knowledge of operating a wide range of machines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
