Seal Rock Healthcare, part of the Atlantic Heights Community, is a fully-licensed Medicaid/Medicare-certified facility offering 105 beds. Our Maintenance Team at Seal Rock supports our entire Atlantic Heights Community, which includes The Inn, an 80-apartment assisted living, and The Cottages, 45 independent living cottages. Position Summary: Baker

Shift: Monday through Friday, 4:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Baker is responsible for producing all menu desserts and breakfast pastries as indicated on the four-week posted menu. Additionally, the Baker will have the opportunity to create additional baked goods for our Hospitality Center, Internet Cafe, special events, and birthday parties.

This position requires researching and testing different pastry and dessert items regularly, time permitting, during the workday.

Baker Tasks Include But Are Not Limited To

• Opening the kitchen and unlocking relevant areas.
• Turning on essential equipment and operating it properly for baking tasks.
• Calculating recipes to achieve correct yields.
• Measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients accurately.
• Reviewing the daily menu before baking to ensure proper recipes and supplies are available.
• Assisting with daily and weekly cleaning duties per logs, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Cleaning and maintaining worktables, mixers, ovens, ingredient bins, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Maintaining food storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Decorating cakes and attractive platters for display in the Hospitality Center, Internet Cafe, and during special events.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma.

Experience Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in large-volume baking.
