New Weds Foods is seeking a Bagger to operate a bagging machine, ensure correct labeling and accurate weights, and pass bags through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area.

The role may include other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or department manager. Employment is with an Equal Opportunity Employer in a production environment with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge about manufacturing food is preferred.
• Must communicate well, both verbally and in writing; strong math skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously.

Responsabilités

• Ensure batch numbers and product codes on labels match the product being dumped.
• Stack bags neatly on skids by color and location.
• Return unused labels to the Supervisor for recording.
• Clean machine and work area as required.
• Detect malfunctions of metal detector and rollers; report to supervisor.
• Comply with safety requirements and company policies.
• Report shortages to the lead operator.
• Notify supervisor and QC tech if metal detector alarms.
• Calibrate floor scale for accurate weights.
• Operate automatic palletizer.
• Ensure product samples are given to QC every 5th pallet.
• Ensure Load Move tickets are signed or initialed.
• Make sure pack-list is completed for traceability.
• Climb step ladders as needed.
• Perform sanitation of packaging equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Summary:

The Bagger position is required to operate a bagging machine to properly fill bags with products, ensure proper labeling and weight, and ensure bags successfully pass through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area. The position may also be required to perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the department manager.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure batch numbers and product code on the labels match with the product been dumped


• Stack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid color.


• Return any unused label back to the Supervisor so that it can be recorded.


• Cleaning machine and work area as required.


• Detect any malfunction of the metal detector and rollers and report it to the supervisor.


• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.


• Report all shortage to the lead operator.


• Notifies supervisor and QC tech if metal detector goes off.


• Calibrate floor scale for accurate weights.


• Lifts 20 - 40 lb bags consistently


• Operates automaticpalletizer.


• Ensures product samples are given to QC tech every 5th pallet


• Ensures Load Moved tickets are signed or initialed


• Makessure pack-list is completed for traceability.


• Requires climbing step ladders.


• Performs sanitation of all packaging equipment.


• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary:

• Starting at $19.18- $22.57 an hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


• Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred


• Able to communicate well, both verbal and written, also with good mathematical skills.


• Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously

Work Environment:

The job is performed in production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
