Job summary

PopUp Bagels is hiring for entry-level kitchen roles in its bustling bagel shops in New York. You will learn multiple stations, gain hands-on food prep experience, and develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, food-loving team.

No experience is required, but a passion for high-quality food and strong communication is essential. The role offers part-time and full-time hours, competitive base pay with tips, and a supportive environment that values growth and education.

Qualifications

• No experience is necessary.
• A desire to create exceptional employee & guest experiences.
• An eye for detail and solving challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary.
• A desire for growth in our restaurants.
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of the position (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to different stations within the Bagel shop(s).
• Speak to current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests to create a memorable bagel experience.
• Work to support the team during peak and off-peak service by pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
• Multi-task and move in the kitchen for extended periods of time.
• Help to maintain a minimum standard “A” letter grade by following the Department of Health and PopUp Bagels food safety standards.
• Demonstrate professional maturity and strictly uphold PopUp Bagel’s anti-discrimination & anti-harassment policies.
