Job summary

Naperville Country Club in Naperville, IL is seeking a part-time Bag Room Attendant for a seasonal position lasting six months or less. You will attend to the golf cart fleet and driving range, supporting the golf operations team and contributing to a positive member and guest experience.

As an associate of Troon, you will work with friendly staff, maintain a professional appearance, and perform opening procedures for the Bag Room and Cart barn while upholding course policies and safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the game of golf preferred.
• Friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer/guest orientation.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Performs opening procedure for the Bag Room & Cart barn.
• Remove golf bag from car and transport them to the bag racks.
• Cleans golf clubs and carts daily and performs light mechanical work on carts.
• Sets up for daily member play, regular tee times, groups & outings.
• Checks in and out guest golf equipment, cleans guest/rental clubs.
• Keeps a fresh supply of clean towels available and keeps divot sand holders filled.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Summary

As a key member of the propertys golf operations team, the Bag Room Attendant reports directly to the Golf Course Head Professional or Assistant Golf Professional and attends to the golf cart fleet and driving range.

Working Conditions

• While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and hands
• The employee often is required to walk, stand, talk or hear, handle, feel or operate objects
• The employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawls
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Noise level is moderately quiet
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
• Work weekends and holidays
