Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking an entry-level Production Operator to safely operate paper bag machines, perform setup and quality checks, and support start‑up operations. You will follow GMPs, read process documentation, and help maintain clean, organized work areas.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or GED and 6 months of manufacturing experience; a Lift Truck Operator License is a plus. This is a full-time on-site role in Vandalia, Ohio with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Will read and follow instructions with attention to safety.
• Able to perform basic math and measurement tasks.
• Experience in packaging or manufacturing is preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Operate paper bag machines safely, including setup and quality checks.
• Perform machine adjustments and routine maintenance as needed.
• Conduct first-bag quality checks and ongoing inspections.
• Assist with start-up operations by preparing rolls, ink, and materials.
• Maintain accurate counts and pace with production speeds.
• Ensure cases are secured and organized for shipment.
• Adhere to Pratt Industries safety and quality procedures.
