Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Bag Machine Operator in Tolleson, AZ. You will operate bag line equipment to produce printed and functional paperbags following quality specifications.

Starting pay is $20.45/hour with an additional $1/hour shift differential for night shifts and weekends. Available shifts include days and nights on a 223 schedule, with opportunities for overtime and strict adherence to GMP and food safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience required; Machine Operator experience preferred.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Ability to work 12 hour day and night rotating shift.
• Overtime as required.
• Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert paper to bags.
• Read and verify line orders/dockets.
• Understand printing job requirements by the specifications.
• Set up the bag line by loading paper and adjusting for size.
• Mount cylinders, adjust pressure, tensions and distribution of ink.
• Trouble shoot stoppages and breakdowns.
• Perform quality checks of material being produced and related documentation.
• Responsibility for food safety and GMP’s.
• Complete daily production paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Overview

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and designated Shift Leads, this positionis responsible foroperating bag line equipmentin order toproduce printed and functional paperbags following quality specifications.

Available Shift

• Days: 7am - 7pm


• Nights: 7pm - 7am


• 223 schedule
