Job summary

Novolex in City of Industry, CA is seeking a Machine Operator to operate bag making machines and safely produce high quality paper bags, sheets, and pan liners following job safety analyses, production schedules, setup instructions and quality specs.

The position requires at least six months of manufacturing experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all safety procedures.
• Read and verify order sheets.
• Understand print job requirements and quality issues.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Produce and pack quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices.
• Maintain Food Safety and Quality in compliance with SQF Standards.
• Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork.
• Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production.
• Complete set-up and/or change-over activities with minimal assistance in allotted time.
• Participate in Preventive Maintenance Activities as assigned.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures.
• Actively engage in safety programs.

Overview

• High School Diploma or GED is required

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation

• Willingness to work overtime as needed
