Novolex is seeking a Machine Operator in Florence, KY to operate bag line equipment and produce printed and functional paper bags following quality specifications. The role requires standing for long shifts, reading line orders, and maintaining GMPs for food safety.

Availability for 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am shifts is required, with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $21.20 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour night shift differential.

Formación

• 1+ year machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert paper to bags.
• Read and verify line orders/dockets.
• Understand printing job requirements by the specifications.
• Set up the bag line by loading paper and adjusting for size.
• Mount cylinders, adjust pressure, tensions and distribution of ink.
• Trouble shoot stoppages and breakdowns.
• Perform quality checks of material being produced and related documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Compensation Includes

  • Additional $1/hr shift differential for night shift

Overview

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and designated Shift Leads, this position is responsible for operating bag line equipment in order to produce printed and functional paper bags following quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert paper to bags
• Read and verify line orders/dockets
• Understand printing job requirements by the specifications
• Set up the bag line by loading paper and adjusting for size
• Mount cylinders, adjusts pressure, tensions and adjusts distribution of ink
• Trouble shoot stoppages and breakdowns
• Perform quality checks of material being produced and related documentation
• Responsibility for food safety and GMP’s
• Complete daily production paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

• 1+ year machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
• Ability to work 12 hour day and night rotating shift
• Work overtime as required
• Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management
• Ability perform the essential functions of the job with our without accommodation
