Job summary

ProAmpac in Wisconsin is seeking Converting Assistants in the Bags Department to support production operations, inspect materials, assist in machine changeovers, and ensure product quality. You will work a 2-2-3 rotating schedule between days and nights, with a clear path to advance into an operator role and develop skills in machine operation, troubleshooting, quality, and production processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with converting/robot equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials to ensure quality standards and specifications.
• Collect, package, and label finished bags/gaylords per production and customer requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues including material inconsistencies and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in machine changeovers for different production runs, loading and preparing new rolls of material.
• Perform quality inspections and testing on finished bags (drop testing, seal integrity, dimensional checks).
• Operate PIV equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and other materials safely.
• Provide a pathway for advancement into an operator role with opportunities to develop machine operation, troubleshooting, quality, and production skills.

Schedule

2, 2, 3 rotating schedule between days and nights - rotation every two weeks.
