Job summary

Wisconsinhistory is seeking local work-study students in Madison, Wisconsin, to support tutoring programs within the Madison Metropolitan School District. Candidates must be currently enrolled students eligible for work study. Department Overview

The Morgridge Center for Public Service (MCPS) promotes citizenship and learning through engagement with local, national, and global communities. Schedule: Lead Tutors are expected to be on site at their designated MMSD site at least 2 days per week. A minimum amount of coordination and planning can be conducted remotely or from the Morgridge Center for Public Service.

Position Summary / Job Duties

• Coordinate site‑specific activities with the designated MMSD liaison.
• Support tutor team: coordinate travel, facilitate monthly team reflection sessions, conduct individual check‑ins with tutors as needed.
• Tutoring/mentoring: expected to be on site at least twice a week.
• Support Morgridge Center: attend Center trainings and team meetings, including fall orientation (September 12 & 19), monthly tutor leader meetings, reflection sessions, workshops, and trainings.
