Essential functions/ Key responsibilities
- Oversees daily operations of office.
- Train new employees.
- Posts daily assignment schedules
- Ensure that employees are properly dressed for duty.
- Supervises the issuance of ID badges, keys, parking decals and ramp permits in accordance with the established Airport Security Program and FAA rules and regulations.
- Resolves ID badging, key and permit complaints while complying with Airport and FAA security regulations and budgetary mandates.
- Administers and maintains automated and physical security record systems for security badges and keys in accordance with the established Airport rules and procedures and other Security Programs.
- Oversees and trains staff to conduct FAA background investigations.
- Provides daily activity reports of reported incidents and inconsistencie s to Airport security.
- Reports audit findings and prepares special studies and projects based on FAA reviews.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications
- Must be a local (in-state) resident.
- Must have valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must complete SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum two + (2) years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
