Job summary

Qualifications

• General application knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Experience with electronic billing, internal report archives, and database tools preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in hospital or physician office billing and collection processes preferred.
• Experience preparing complex correspondence to resolve accounts preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal departments, patients, and payers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the Hospital and the early out agency.
• Coordinate vendor reconciliation and recommend reconciling items to the department manager.
• Determine accounts to be deemed bad debt and assign to appropriate collection agency.
• Identify charity candidates from bad debt accounts and generate reports on bad debt written off.
