Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological, physical, natural, or agricultural sciences with 1 year of related experience; or a master's degree.
• Certain positions require meeting federal or state regulations as identified by the employing agency.
• Educational notes on credential evaluation for foreign graduates per Florida DOE guidelines.
• Requires possession of a valid driver license.
• Incumbent must pass a pulmonary function test with medical evaluation and respirator fit-testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality analyses on Bacteriology testing and identify bacteria and antimicrobial sensitivity.
• Aim for five-day turnaround from processing to reporting results via LIMS.
• Prepare culture media and biochemical tests for bacterial and fungal identification.
• Conduct CEM swabs culture and read plates for 7 days following NVSL guidelines.
• Maintain QA/QS records, review SOPs, and assist with test development and validation.
