Job summary

The Sands College of Performing Arts at Pace University seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented Wardrobe Supervisor (part-time) to lead the backstage wardrobe crew for each production, under the direction of the Director of Production.

You will train seasonal staff, review costume plots with designers, assign dressing room spaces, coordinate quick changes, maintain wardrobe paperwork and inventory, oversee repairs, and uphold safety and a positive, production-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• BA or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of experience in the field.
• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in dark spaces and backstage areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead backstage wardrobe crew for each production.
• Train seasonal staff and maintain a safe working environment.
• Review costume pieces and plots with designers.
• Assign dressing room space and coordinate quick changes.
• Create and maintain wardrobe paperwork and inventory per show.
• Load in and strike costumes and oversee backstage setup.
