Job summary

Family Farm and Home is seeking a Receiver at our Three Rivers, MI location. You will verify and process inbound/outbound freight, maintain inventory accuracy, and support store management in reducing shrink and ensuring safety in loading/unloading.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and team collaboration in a busy backroom environment. Responsibilities include receiving shipments, operating forklift/pallet jack with proper licensing, tagging items, protecting stock

Qualifications

• Experience receiving and sorting shipments using established procedures.
• Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack with proper licensing.
• Strong organizational skills for backroom organization.
• Proficient in basic computer systems and data entry.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Customer service and teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort shipments using proper receiving procedures.
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently with proper licensing.
• Separate special orders from deliveries and process per store policy.
• Tag items with security tags as applicable and maintain backroom organization.
• Ensure inbound merchandise is checked in per store procedures.
• Maintain files for backroom paperwork and oversee inter-store transfers.
• Process damage claims and follow up on returns in a timely manner.
• Assist with stocking freight and stock items in overhead areas.
• Handle customer service calls and support store operations.
