Job summary

TJ Maxx in Richmond, VA is hiring for a processing and merchandising role. You will support receiving, merchandising, and customer service to maintain an efficient store environment. The position requires good communication, teamwork, and the ability to train others while handling backroom operations.

In this role you will help prioritize tasks, ensure accurate tagging and stocking, and assist with flow of goods to the sales floor. Flexibility for nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multitasking and adapting to changes in direction.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards and ensure efficient processing.
• Engage with customers to provide an excellent shopping experience and maintain store cleanliness.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Coordinate with management to maintain flow of goods to the sales floor.
• Uphold safety, labor laws and store policies; support shrink reduction initiatives.
• Assist in backroom organization and backstock rotation as needed.
