Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Control Specialist (II, III, and Senior) to join its Cape Canaveral operations. The role focuses on reducing backlog, expediting critical jobs, and maintaining ERP/MRP data integrity within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The 1-year contract offers shifts A, C, and D, with potential conversion to full-time, depending on performance and business needs. Candidates should have hands-on ERP experience and a willingness to work overtime to meet schedule

Qualifications

Experience with schedule management, expediting, or backlog/data clean-up in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on ERP/MRP data work; comfortable editing system data directly.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous setting.
Willingness to support overtime and off-nominal shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Drive down the work order backlog by resolving idle or obsolete orders and clearing blockers.
Expedite hot jobs by identifying material needs and removing blockers across centers.
Support off-nominal shifts and keep WIP moving to protect schedule execution.
Maintain accuracy of MRP/ERP data and report backlog status daily.
Collaborate with the production control team to own standing work centers as needed.
Assist other centers after backlog clearance while limiting technical debt.
